The pandemic hit many businesses hard. But for those willing to think smart and act fast, COVID has been a game changing opportunity. A prime example of this is Oz Medical, created by Melbourne-based hospitality businesswoman and all-round powerhouse Martha Tsamis.
Using the first mover advantage – and decades of business savvy – she set up an online medical equipment business supplying everything from face masks and RAT test kits to a range of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) products. With her business firing up quickly, we were delighted when Oz Medical became one of Sanitation Station’s biggest champions.
Thanks to this thriving partnership, it was only a matter of time before Oz Medical teamed up with OzLocal to spin magic into its marketing. Initially, we created a turbo-charged social media strategy focused on personal storytelling, specifically Martha’s “pivot” from nightclubs to becoming a leading Australian supplier of online medical equipment.
This was quickly followed up by a three-month Google AdWords strategy, which individually spotlighted Oz Medical’s diverse range of products. Then we topped off our triple-whammy strategy with a Shopify e-commerce website to pull everything into sharp focus. In December 2021, we were given a brief to accelerate Oz Medical to No 1 on Google for RAT tests. We heard the brief – and we delivered. Within a week, the business sold more than 3.9 million dollars worth of RAT tests.
