The demand for fresh quality produce, artisanal fare and shopping local is exploding. Meeting that demand head-on is the extraordinary QE Foodstores, an independent and proud family-owned Sydney business fuelled by the slogan: “Quality Food Shopping Made Easy.”
Built from blood, sweat, and an awful lot of tenacity by Narinder Singh in 2002 when he was just 19, QE Foodstores started as a single lease business in Darlinghurst. Today, it has a network of 11 stores and a team of 130 staff.
Inspired by Narinder’s shared values of passion, persistence and purpose, we knew we could do a whole lot more with the QE Foodstores brand. There was only one hitch: Narinda was burnt out from previously investing in marketing campaigns (with other agencies) that failed to capture his vision or produce strong results.
Not to be deterred, we kept pitching ideas and eventually our grit paid off. He agreed to kick off with a six-month social media campaign that included Facebook, Instagram and paid social ads. As part of our multi-layered approach, we also gave the website a facelift and breathed new life into the brand’s Smart Rewards program, which had languished since COVID despite having a substantial database.
The results are telling. For example, in one month alone, the volume of Facebook page engaged users and post engagements leapt by 104% and 55% respectively, with total link clinks up 134%.
We’re delighted that QE Foodstores has become a cherished member of the OzLocal family. From customer newsletters to point-of-sale advertising, graphic design and everything in between, we are now on a creative agency retainer fee to handle QE Foodstores’ full suite of marketing needs.
